Hennica Pure Organic Indigo Powder
Achieve the deep, dark tones you’ve always desired without a single drop of harsh chemicals. Hennica’s 100% Organic Indigo Powder is the natural answer to synthetic hair dyes. Handcrafted in Bangladesh, our Indigo is derived from the finest Indigofera tinctoria leaves, dried and pulverized into a vibrant green powder that holds the secret to rich browns and midnight blacks.
At Hennica, we ensure our Indigo is as pure as it gets. When used in combination with our BAQ Henna, it allows you to customize your hair color from a warm chocolate brown to a jet black. Beyond color, Indigo is a traditional remedy known for its cooling properties and its ability to give hair a thicker, more voluminous appearance.
Key Features
-
Chemical-Free Color: A completely natural alternative to PPD-laden commercial dyes, making it safe for sensitive scalps and long-term use.
-
Versatile Shading: Depending on your mixing ratio with henna, you can achieve various shades including light brown, dark walnut, or raven black.
-
Scalp Health: Naturally possesses antifungal and antibacterial properties that help keep the scalp clean and free from irritation.
-
Volume & Shine: Coats the hair shaft to add a protective layer, resulting in hair that looks visibly thicker and has a healthy, natural gloss.
How to Use
-
Preparation: Unlike henna, Indigo should be mixed immediately before application. In a non-metallic bowl, mix the powder with lukewarm water and a pinch of salt to assist the dye release.
-
The Henna Base: For the best results (especially for black hair), apply Hennica BAQ Henna first, rinse it out, and then apply the Indigo paste to damp hair.
-
Application: Apply the paste generously to sections of your hair, ensuring every strand is covered from root to tip.
-
Wait: Wrap your hair in a shower cap to keep the paste moist. Let it sit for 1 to 2 hours depending on your desired depth of color.
-
Rinse: Wash thoroughly with plain water. Avoid shampoo for 24–48 hours to allow the color to oxidize and settle into its final shade.
Storage Instructions
Store the dry powder in a cool, dry, and dark place in an airtight container. Do not freeze Indigo powder, as it is best used fresh for maximum dye potency.
